The short version: we collect your email address and the club page you signed up from. We use them to send you The Shadow Table and to pick which emails and sponsor messages suit you. We never sell or share your email address. You can stop emails or delete your account whenever you like.
Who we are
The Shadow Table is run by 4D Analytics Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 08183934). Our registered office is The Bristol Office, 2nd Floor, 5 High Street, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol BS9 3BY.

What we collect
When you sign up:
- your email address
- the club page you signed up from, for example Arsenal
- when you signed up
When you get our emails:
- whether you open them and which links you click
When you visit the site:
- page visit counts. These are counted without cookies and aren't linked to your name or email.
We don't ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details.
How we use it
- To send you The Shadow Table: the weekly update and the club pages behind the sign-up.
- To choose what you get. We use the club you signed up from to pick which emails and messages are relevant to you.
- To include messages from sponsors. Sponsors pay to have their message in our emails or on our pages. We send these ourselves. Sponsors never receive your email address.
- To see what's working: which emails get read and which pages bring people in.
We send emails because you asked us to when you signed up. You can stop them at any time.
Who handles it for us
- Ghost runs the website and stores member details.
- Mailgun delivers our emails on Ghost's behalf.
- Tinybird counts page visits on Ghost's behalf.
They only use your details to provide that service to us. Some of them store data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
We never sell, rent or share your email address with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- While your account is open, we keep your details.
- If you stop emails, your account stays open and you can still read the members' part of the club pages.
- If you ask us to delete your account, we remove everything we hold about you.
- If you haven't opened an email or signed in for two years, we delete your account.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- send you a copy of what we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your account and everything with it
- stop using your details for any purpose
Email privacy@theshadowtable.com and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
